Predatory fish
A dark outline under quiet water, followed by a brief strike.

Some larger, clean waters hold an elongated predatory fish. Its dark, translucent body first becomes visible below the surface. Then it thrusts quickly at a swimming slime and dives in the same direction until its outline disappears completely. Only in the depths does it turn and approach again from another direction. A glimpse of its silhouette can give you time to move away.
Water as a home
The predatory fish lives in larger, connected bodies of water. After diving it can seek another position there; small puddles offer too little room. It can strike only slimes able to swim that are actually in the water. An Aqua standing on dry ground is no more a target than a creature unable to swim. Poisoned water, or a pond that vanishes, ends activity at the site.
Thrust, dive, attack again
Each hit removes half the swimmer’s full health. Two hits can kill a healthy Aqua; nearby allies do not soften this bite. Between thrusts the fish sinks entirely out of sight: its body shrinks and fades before returning from another direction. Even during an attack it remains partly underwater. Leaving the water or gaining enough distance ends the pursuit. After a kill, an escape or a short unsuccessful hunt, it stays in the depths. About a minute of game time later it can appear at another suitable water position. Small fish schools do not reliably reveal its presence.
A swimmer can strike and wound the surfacing fish with aimed blows. Its translucent body must still be reachable; a fully submerged fish escapes the attack. A full hit or serious wounds end its hunt: it sinks into the depths in the same direction. Surviving wounds remain, and a killed fish does not surface again.
